Registration for the Neighborhoods USA Conference, "Building Neighborhoods: Block by Block," taking place in Madison, Wisconsin, from Wednesday, May 26th through Saturday, May 30th is has begun. Check out the conference program and registration procedures here:

If you missed this on the homepage, we´ve established a free Neighborhoods Online
 Chat Room, using BeSeen.Com´s free service. All you need to do is register.

The Institute for the Study of Civic Values has updated and upgraded its first web site: Neighborhoods Online: Philadelphia to conform to the style and organization of Neighborhoods Online: National. If you´re interested in having ISCV develop a similar web site for your community, email Ed Schwartz at: edcivic@libertynet.org

Activists from more than 30 new cities and communities have joined build-com since January, including Baltimore; Allentown; Ridgewood, NJ; Chicago; Houston; Austin; Orange County; Stamford; and Merced. Welcome also to an entire graduate course in Social Welfare at Boston College that has joined build-com as part of the course.
